DHA is found as an omega-3 fatty acid, and has been well noted to assist with heart-health. Recently, researches have linked higher intakes to reduced risk Alzheimers and the cognitive decline that follows its onset. Published in the "Archives of Neurology"; they found that people over the age of 65, who ate at least one DHA-rich fish meal per week had 60% less risk of Alzheimer's.
